The SpiderGrip “cells” are the smooth areas between the traction ridges. These shallow dish-shaped cells enhance the performance of the product in several ways. The cells that face downward onto the flooring or other surface behave like miniature suction-cups. And in conjunction with the tacky traction ridges, keep the SpiderGrip Film firmly in place. It grips the surface without any adhesive. Time consuming labor and expensive tape is not required.
These same cells on the top side of the film contribute to the traction properties that are so important to worker safety and trap debris that falls or is transferred from footwear. Additionally, liquid spills, (i.e. paint), do not flow as quickly and widely, providing more time to capture and mitigate a potentially catastrophic event.
